I'm back!

Not moved yet but as it's going to be another few months away, I decided I couldn't stand the waiting.

Egg-boy has ceased his attacks (touch wood), and I'm generally feeling calmer.

So after Invitations into the pants of digital_med, a wonderful pep-mail from thejollyape and wonderfully heart-warming comments from the rest of you. I thought I must attempt to squeeze LJ back into my routine.

So I'll be keeping a semi-low profile this week, then I'll have a full-on update this weekend.

Hi Guys and Dolls,

Sorry again for another long absence. And extra-sorry for the one that's probably going to come after this post.

It's just this whole "Kids from teh 'hood trying to trash our house" thing, has had me a little down to say the least. I know it's stupid of me to get worked up over it. But this "boy" has a lot of "friends" in the area, whereas we do not. So it has me feeling like every chav in the area is laughing at us.

I'm starting to get used to it, but I'm still not fangurling and I've lost all drive to go on the net at all.

At the moment I'm filling my time watching sitcoms and cartoons. Anything that doesn't need me to think too much lol.

So basically there are two options at the moment. Either it dies down and I'll be back on in the next couple of weeks. Or it carries on the way it is and I probably won't be back for at least a month or so when we move house.

Apologies for my long absence guys, after my little accident last Monday, my doctor advised me to stay away from the computer (when I was typing, the wound would re-open, not pretty). But the bandage is now off. Though my finger still looks like a Van Gogh painting, it seems to be staying put.

Of course as I've been away from the computer a while, I'm VERY behind on my LJ'ing, so, if I've missed anything do link me up. You all know how I love teh spam.

I got my first issue of Geek Monthly this week. It is quite possibly the greatest magazine in the history of magazines. Some of the articles found within include: Star Wars scripts improvised using the word "Pants" and a scientific study that proves foil hats do not repel radio waves, they actually increase them.

Feeling very emo today, I won't go into any details, just some really depressing dreams I had last night. I've only really scanned my f-list. So apologies if I've missed anything.

OMG I have 86 Bright Eyes tracks on my computer, and I still have 3 of their albums I want to buy next month.

Kristen Bell Pulse "Promos". Which reminds me, I watched Pulse last night, I really loved it! Good cast, well directed, and actually scary! Plus Kristen Bell in a wife-beater!!!! I have such a weakness for girls in wife-beaters. Well, mostly just Faith in a wife-beater.

I also saw Stay Alive which really surprised me, it was 100% better than I thought it was going to be. Plus Jimmi Simpson was in it, being his usual awesome self. Also Milo Ventimiglia!! Although he was only in it for a short time, he was wearing nerd!glasses!!!!! He was pant-wetting-ly cute.

Sorry about the lack of action so far this week. Work has been really stressful, and I'm generally really bummed out. I'm not sure why, but I do promise I'm still reading my f-list on a daily basis.

I'm having a SPN night tonight as I just got the S1 box-set, so cue the GIP!

Vid Rec: The Wreckoning by charmax, a Niki/Jessica
relationship study. I'm not sure what to think of this one. It's beautifully edited, but I'm not getting pulled in to whats happening from shot to shot. Most of this is probably down to the fact that I haven't seen a lot of the episodes that have been used yet. But I risked the chances of being spoiled due to the fact that it was a charmax video, so I HAD to watch it XD. Another thing that kind of bothered me, was the version of the song used. The version I've always listened and loved is a lot more "rocky" and for some reason, hearing the song in that context was a little weird.

Vid Rec: Prelude 12-21 by Wolfpup A Supernatural, Sam Character study. I think if this video was any longer it would have eventually lost it's spark, but as it is a short video it keeps a beautiful fast-paced charm.

I watched Saw III last night. Absolutely fantastic. It completely made up for the travesty they called Saw II. I actually think it may have even been slightly better than Saw, but only marginally. Also Shawnee Smith, OMFG! She was hot in this one.

Vid rec: Living Dead Girl by bradcpu, this actually isn't the first Faith video I've seen to this song. The last one I saw I loved for it's fast paced editing and excellent portrayal of her character. But this one blows that one completely out of the water. This is quite possibly the best Faith video to incorporate her constant battle with her own insanity I've seen.

Apparently Fox are planning to re-make The Day the Earth Stood Still. No cast/director details yet, but it's Fox, so I'm scared already.

Vid rec: Lost Cause by hollywoodgrrl, I almost didn't post this because I believe the song might be a little too slow for the source material. But I though the editing deserved a shout out. It's a BSG S2 general angsty video, as I said above it's a bit too slow, but it's well edited and a good watch if you're bored.
